Skyler Simpson’s narrative paintings focus on domesticity and gendered isolation. Rooted in her Midwestern upbringing, her work explores a stylish but acidic version of domestic life. Skyler received an MFA from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2024. She graduated with a BFA from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 2018 and worked as a painting intern at Anderson Ranch Arts Center during the summer of 2019. Skyler has exhibited in group shows throughout the United States, including the AXA Art Prize Exhibition in 2022, 2023, and 2024. She is currently based in Chicago, IL.
